2018 TASMANIACS SUMMER COAST RIDE

RIDE FOR RUSS

This year the Tasmaniacs are doing something different! The Summer Coast Ride will be held Saturday 3rd February – Sunday 4th February in the North East of Tasmania.

Ride departs the Mathinna Oval leaving at 9:00am Saturday 3rd Feb. Lunch on day 1 will be a BBQ at the Pub in the Paddock at Pyengana. Pizza's will be available from the Mathinna Club Saturday night for those camping on the oval.

LUNCHES ARE NOW CLOSED

Bikes need to be registered, in good order and able to do 80+ k’s to a tank of fuel. Tracks will be a mix of open fire trails to tight technical single trail narrower than your handlebars. Quads will take a separate route to avoid tangles. A support vehicle will be tracking us along the ride. This is a social charity ride with $0 entry fee so you need to be self sufficient and a competent rider. Please donate your cash into the tins provided.

The cornerman system will be in place. The Leaders and Sweepers are there to help – don’t be afraid to ask if you need a break. Sledging is also encouraged. We will be splitting into a fast and a slow group. Grade yourself accordingly. You can switch groups at the lunch stop if you need to.

Mathinna is two hours and fifteen minutes from Hobart in light traffic with no stops.

This will be a ride not to be missed and will take in some of the most spectacular riding Tasmania has to offer. If you have any questions please call Shane on 0409508247.
